Kari is the daughter of Jennifer & Lee Erickson of Decatur. We are so proud of you!

Also competing in the Junior Miss Dance division was 11 year old Olivia Reeder of Hartselle. Olivia was named one of the Top 8 Finalists. She is the daughter of Carol and John Reeder of Hartselle and has a brother- Cody and a sister- Audrey. Congratulations on your accomplishments!

Kari received a Gold Award for her first solo and was 1st Overall in the Mini Division. Olivia received a Platinum Award for her first solo and was 2nd Overall in the Junior Division. Both girls will represent the studio at the DMA Little Miss and Junior Miss Dance Competition in February.

All of our Performance Team members also attended the event to take master classes and cheer on their teammates. The dancers took class from Lauren Gottlieb…a top 6 honoree from season 3 of “So You Think You Can Dance.” We are so thankful to have the opportunity to take advantage of great dance experiences like this.

Angela Green

Angela Green is our new Studio
Manager and Acting Instructor.

Angela has a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater with minors in Speech and Dance from Troy University as well as an MFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
She is also certified by Dance Master’s of America.

Ms. Angie was an Assistant Professor of Acting at The University of North Alabama for 8 years and has worked with  professional theatre companies such as Birmingham Children’s Theatre, North Carolina Theatre for Young People at UNCG and The North Carolina Shakespeare Festival.

With Ms. Angie’s arrival, Dancers Inc. will begin offering an Acting Program for 1st Grade through Adult.

The classes will be divided into the
following age levels:

Petite: 1st through 5th Grade
Junior: 6th through 8th Grade
Senior: 9th through 12th Grade
Adult: College age and up

The cost for the class is $40.00 per month, with a $25.00 Supply Fee per semester. There is also a $30.00
registration fee.
(If you also take dance, you are only charged this registration fee once. However, the class fee is separate from dance tuition.)

Our Acting Program will include the following studies:

Acting Techniques
Acting for the Camera
Audition Techniques
Creating a Character
Improvisation
Script Analysis
Script Writing
Stage Make-up
Voice & Diction

If you are interested in our new Acting Program, please sign up in the office. We need a minimum of 8 students to create a class. We will then determine a day and time for each class level and contact you when we can begin.
